Fiona Collins has been a professional storyteller for twenty-five years, working in English, her mother tongue, and Welsh, her second language. She also speaks French, Italian and Russian. She is the author of Pryderi, a re-imagining of the Four Branches of the Mabinogion, two volumes of North Wales folk tales, and two books of folk tales for children, all published by the History Press. She is a ‘Doctor of Storytelling’, having written a PhD about storytelling in education, and in August 2019 she was named Welsh Learner of the Year at Wales’ National Eisteddfod.
